Winter Semester 2021 Academic Operations

 

 

Note: Per the request of the State of Michigan, classes were not offered in person before 1/18.

Central

Dashboard

Classes will run 1/11-5/7. Mix of hybrid, in-person, and online beginning 1/19. Spring break cancelled, replaced with 5 wellness days spread through the semester. No study abroad.

Eastern

Dashboard

Winter break extended and spring break cancelled; classes will run 1/13-4/20. All classes online until 1/25; approximately 10% in-person after 1/25.

Ferris

Spring break cancelled and semester ends one week early; classes will run 1/11-4/30. Class delivery is 37% in-person, 40% online, 11% independent study.

Grand Valley

Winter break extended and spring break cancelled; classes will run 1/19-5/1. Current alert level: Level 3 High Alert

Lake Superior

Michigan State

Classes start all online 1/19, with some classes moving to in-person 1/25. Spring break cancelled, and semester ends one week early on 4/23. About 2,500 additional housing spaces added.

Michigan Tech

Northern

Oakland

Saginaw Valley

UM-Ann Arbor

Classes will be mostly online, with in-person limited; students are not to return to campus unless approved. Winter break extended, spring break cancelled, mid-semester days off added; classes will run 1/19-4/29

UM-Dearborn

Hybrid online with <12% of classes in-person. Winter break extended and spring break cancelled; classes will run 1/13-4/28. All classes online through 2/26, with some classes moving to in-person effective 3/1 if conditions permit.

UM-Flint

Hybrid online with <25% of classes in-person. Winter break extended and spring break cancelled; classes will run 1/19-4/28

Wayne State

All classes except clinical rotations will be online through 1/31. Classes revert to scheduled format on 2/1; majority of classes scheduled to be online.
