Alumni Directors
The MASU Alumni Directors (AD) Committee oversees the institutions’ relationships with their biggest supporters – alumni. These officers build relationships with alumni, create engaging events around the state and world, work closely with university advancement, and are often the most visible face of the university to its family of former students. The AD committee meets as a gathering of professionals to collaborate on issues of common interest, learn from one another and share best practices in public higher education alumni management.
As with all MASU committees, during their convenings, members of the AD Committee provide insight on the implications of current state and federal policy issues and fiscal dynamics affecting Michigan’s public universities. Traditional and emerging higher education topics and trends are considered from the perspective of alumni directors, with particular attention paid to such issues as alumni engagement and volunteerism, giving, lifelong education, enrollment, career services, and the intersection of economic development and demographics in the state of Michigan.
